A claim in writing must also be filed with ECM World Insurance in no case later than seven (7) days after delivery or scheduled delivery in the event of claim for non-delivery. It is the duty of the Claimant to mitigate loss or damage.
FAILURE OR DELAY IN COMPLYING WITH THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS MAY PREJUDICE YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE CERTIFICATE.*
The following documents must be presented to validate any claim under this Certificate:
1. Original copy of the Bill Of Lading.
2. Copy of Commercial Invoice and Packing List.
3. Copies of all claims made against the Carrier or Carriers, with copies of their replies thereto.
4. Original Copy of the Independent Inspection Report.
5. Copy of receipt given to Freight Forwarder upon delivery
6. Copy of custom documents.
For all electronic devices* including computer components, memory chips, digital cameras, GPS systems and cellular phones the following additional documents will be required:
1. Independent inspection report including individual box check from ECM World Insurance recognised Inspection Company.
2. Time dated photographic evidence of stock with company name attached.
3. 100% IMEI number records of stock.
4. All batch numbers of stock.
5. Documentation confirming stock was insured during time in warehouse.
6. Documentation confirming stock was transported in GPS satellite tracked vehicles with ECM Worldwide Insurance registered security escort.

It is agreed that the practice of British law and usage shall be recognized as the standard for adjusting claims under this Certificate. For information regarding this policy or for claims, kindly contact the Settling Agent displayed on your certificate.
Special dispensation to exempt from some or all of these criteria may be afforded to those corporations willing to undertake additional director and company history verification. For further information on this please contact your ECM World Insurance agent and ask about special dispensation.
